The Mini 2 and Mini Pro 2 share a design direction, but they solve different problems. The Mini 2 prioritizes compactness, access, and class capacity. The Mini Pro 2 offers a longer and wider training surface for users who want a more expansive experience without moving to a full-size Megaformer.
Neither is simply a smaller Pilates reformer. Both are designed around the Lagree Method and the relationship between resistance, stability, range of motion, transitions, and time under tension.

Choose the Mini 2 when capacity and flexibility lead
The Mini 2 uses space extremely efficiently. Its narrower and shorter footprint can allow a studio to install more stations, preserve circulation, or create a flexible room that supports storage and events. At 165 pounds, it is also more manageable for concepts that anticipate moving equipment within a venue.
Its 28-inch carriage is intentionally compact. That can be an advantage for efficient group training, but taller users and people who prioritize a larger kneeling or supine surface should evaluate the dimensions carefully. A test session is the best way to assess personal comfort.
Choose the Mini Pro 2 when training surface and premium feel lead
The Mini Pro 2 expands the carriage to 39.5 by 25 inches and creates more room for body positioning, kneeling support, and transitions. It is approximately ten inches narrower than the Mega Pro, so it still improves studio density while delivering a larger training surface than the Mini 2. For tall users, premium studios, private training, or concepts in which the physical presence of the machine is part of the experience, the Mini Pro 2 may be the stronger choice.
What Configuration 6 means
For both models, Configuration 6 represents the fully equipped format: handlebars at both ends, a rear platform, and the Lift Kit. The configuration changes exercise access, user support, and machine height. Compare like for like when budgeting; a base-machine price and a Configuration 6 price are not the same product package.
The decision framework
- Measure the usable room, not only the wall-to-wall dimensions.
- Include trainer circulation, exits, columns, storage, reception, and local code requirements.
- Decide how important carriage length and width are for your clients.
- Compare the revenue impact of an additional station with the positioning impact of a larger machine.
- Confirm the exact configuration, accessories, lead time, and shipping cost before signing a commercial lease.
The Mini 2 is the capacity and flexibility choice. The Mini Pro 2 is the space-efficient premium choice. The correct machine is the one that aligns the workout experience, the client, the floor plan, and the business model.
