One of the most common questions remains: “Which Megaformer model is best for my studio?” While the Megaformer remains our original line of machines, those interested in opening a Lagree Fitness studio should heavily consider the Micro, Mini and Mini Pro’s. Here’s why:
SIZE MATTERS
A studio owner's goal should be to optimize the studio's occupancy. Because both the Megaformer models and the EVO require a minimum of 100 square feet per machine (more or less, depending on the model), it is recommended that studios 1,000 square feet or less consider other models such as the Micro, Mini, or Mini Pro.
Whereas a space of 1,000 square feet can only accommodate up to 10 Megaformers, the same size studio can fit up to:
20 Microformers
15 Mini’s
13 Mini Pros
More machines means more participants per class.

Another factor that is heavily considered by new Lagree Fitness studio owners is initial investment. With Micro’s ranging from $600 to $2,000 and Mini/Mini Pro’s ranging from $2,490 to $5,000, the initial cost to open a Lagree studio is significantly less with the use of a larger quantity of smaller machines than if a studio owner were to invest in 10 Megaformers for the same size space.
Here is a reference using the example of a 1,000-square-foot space:
Total investment of $100,000 + accessories 13 Mini Pro’s
Total investment of $39,000 to $65,000 + accessories (up to 60% cost saving) 15 MINIFORMERS
Total investment of $37,350 to $60,000 + accessories (up to 63% cost saving) 20 MICROFORMERS

OVERALL REVENUE
More machines equate to more participants which leaves room for an increase in revenue per class. Even with a lower price-per-session than one would charge for a Megaformer class, studio owners can expect to make more per session solely based on the larger number of participants.
Here is a reference assuming that Micro, Mini, and Mini Pro classes cost less than a Megaformer class:

This allows studio owners to recover the initial investment much faster than one might with a Megaformer-based studio.
