Fitness has always been an essential part of Ellen’s life. She grew up swimming, playing basketball, soccer, and even did a stint on her high school dance team. She taught swimming lessons to children when she was a teenager at her local pool. Then, life took a turn and Ellen moved to Hawaii to earn her Master’s Degree in Nursing. She became a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and began a career in healthcare in 2013. In Hawaii, she fell in love with yoga and decided to complete teacher training and taught Yoga Sculpt in addition to her NP work.
She was introduced to Lagree Fitness in 2017, took her first class in Phoenix while studying for another nursing certification and fell in love. Through a whirlwind of changes in both her personal and professional worlds she moved 5,000 miles to open a Lagree Studio in Asheville, NC (Scorch Fitness). She’s taught over 1,500 classes and has mentored several newly certified Lagree teachers over the last 5+ years.
She’s an avid Lagree-er, which she attributes to keeping her body strong and injury free for all her running endeavors. She brings the mind-body connection to all of her classes, has a calm presence that makes clients feel welcome and supported. Her classes are sneaky hard and always well-rounded so clients walk away feeling empowered and worked!
