Joy builds strong bodies, minds, and lives. Prior to realizing her dream of opening KOMO Studio in the beautiful beach town of Kailua, she taught in-demand fitness classes in Los Angeles before moving to Oahu, Hawaii in 2017. Her energetic teaching style, magnetic personality, and ability to lead and inspire have built a loyal following wherever she goes. In addition to being a Lagree Master Trainer, she is also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and a brand ambassador for MICHI, Carbon38, and Flaming Embers. She was awarded Best Instructor in Honolulu (Classpass 2019).

Outside of her fitness career, Joy has an extensive background of over 13 years in sales/marketing working in various industries and business types from startups to Fortune 500 companies. She attributes these experiences to her successful pivot into entrepreneurship. In her free time, you can find her seeking adventure, chasing waterfalls, tip-toeing ridgeline hikes, working out, in the constant pursuit of growth and learning, and enjoying the company of family & friends.
